The trip to Phnom Bayoug

On vacation, my friend and I went to Phnom Bayoug. We traveled by car. It look three hours to that place located in Por Rorng village, Preah Bat Phoan Chum commune, Klrivong district, aboutone hundred and one kilometers south of Phnom Penh.
When we arrived at the mountain, we had to climb up. The road to the mountain, however, is old and difficult to access in the thick forest. We walked up the old ladders and steps. We could see beautiful landscape and view around the temples at the top of the mountain. On the other hand, the ancient roads and natural forest that made us frustrate and comfort. Plus, there were five temples on the mountain such as Bayong temple is a historical site that attracts us so much, Preah Kor temple, North Kanang temple, East Kanang temple and Keampoul Kanang temple. All are for Brahman worship and contain a Silva lingam.

At the moment that we had traveled, we look a rest at the small hut on the top of that site. We asked old men and nuns over there about the ancient temple like the Bayong temple. They told us that Bayong temple was built between AD six hundred and fifteen and six hundred and thirty-five by king Pavement II on the top of Phnom Bayong. A three hundred and thirteen meter high mountain, it’s diameter is thirteen meters by nine meters and it is twelve meter high. Constructed of late rite, bricks and other alones, it is heavily damaged. Places of the temple littler the ground the roof has collapsed, and the jata rita rampart has been damaged. Furthermore, they told us about one thing is a streem, Pha Oak, which flows one thousand meters from its source to where people congregate to swim or bathe. The streem is si meter wide during the rainy season and two meters during the dry season. The sound of the water falling from the mountaintop is almost musical, and the scenery is beautiful. And then we had to go to visit right there. All the things like they told. Water was very cold and it made us happy together. Though we were tried because of the difficult roads, we comforted with these beautiful sceneries.
